"Entering into the riches of Christ, by grace through faith"
God's Promises
The Bible contains a variety of of promises that God has made to all those that believe in him and have made him their foundation through the work of Christ. We can trust these and build our lives upon their truth.
Hebrews 6 v 18 says
That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
It is impossible for God to lie, therefore every word God has given us is true and can be trusted.
2 Corinthians 1 v 20 says
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
Here we have the assurance that all God's promises are now yes for us because of the finished work of Christ. If this is so lets look at some of those promises.
But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin?. And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus.
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
